Chevy Cruze ECO Blossoms at the Macy’s Flower Show in Chicago

The Chevrolet Cruze ECO was all the buzz at the Macy’s Flower Show in Chicago last week. Visitors to the popular flower exhibit got a close-up view of one of Chevy’s “greenest” models, which boasts an incredible 28 city / 42 highway miles per gallon.  While the original Cruze is quite fuel efficient in its own right, the ECO ups the ante by enhancing aerodynamics, reducing mass, and optimizing the powertrain, all of which not only improve fuel efficiency, but make the car all the more fun to drive.

The Cruze ECO ties in with Chevrolet’s commitments to be environmentally friendly.  In addition to their efforts to manufacture greener vehicles, Chevy’s Carbon Reduction Program invests in renewable energy, energy efficient programs, and planting trees in communities across America. Current projects include investments in wind farms and landfill destruction, with a focus on working on a local level.  Chevy’s ultimate goal in this program is to reduce up to 8 million metrics tons of carbon dioxide.
