The newly redesigned 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport has only been out on the roads for a few months, but already it is getting accolades from around the country. And it’s no wonder. This state-of-the-art crossover vehicle is impressing drivers with its perfect blend of power and efficiency, aerodynamic “Storm Edge” design, seven airbags, and roomy comfortable interior.
One of the first to recognize the new 2013 Santa Fe is the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA), which named the Santa Fe “Compact CUV of Texas.” Over two days of testing by 50 automotive analysts judging on factors like exterior styling, pricing, fuel mileage, and off-road capability, the Santa Fe edged out competitors like the 2013 Mazda CX5 Grand Touring AWD, 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek 2.0i Limited and the 2013 Nissan Juke SL. The Hyundai CUV was touted for its amazing versatility and ability to stay composed, safe, and efficient in a variety of environments. TAWA President Michael Herzing further praised that the Santa Fe Sport exceeded the association’s expectations in the crossover category and was overwhelmingly selected over the competition.
Also recognizing the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe recently is Carspondent.com’s Active Lifestyle Vehicle (ALV) of the Year Awards. The Santa Fe brought home the “Best Value On-Road” recognition, the first time Hyundai has placed in this unique awards program in its ninth year. The ALV is the only car-of-the-year program in the United States that combines the input of automotive journalists with elite athletes to determine which cars and trucks best meet the needs of buyers with active lifestyles. In this year’s competition, over 100 participants evaluated 28 cars in 7 categories, on both on and off-road courses.
These are just two of the awards already in the 2013 Santa Fe’s trophy chest, with more certainly to come.
